The Cluster Competitiveness Program (CCP) is a three-year, private sector focused competitiveness program, which utilizes the cluster methodology to strengthen selected geographic industry clusters and contribute to Tanzania’s economic development. CCP is funded by the World Bank International Development Agency (IDA) and the UK Department for International Development (DFID). The program is designed to strengthen the competitiveness of six industry clusters during its three-year term. CCP employs 11 full time staff at its offices within the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) – the umbrella organization under which also includes sister projects: Matching Grants Program, Business Development Gateway and BEST-AC (business environment strengthening).

CCP will provide support to the selected industry clusters through technical assistance and training. The support is designed to strengthen linkages between all levels of the clusters’ value chains – from suppliers to producers to processors to distributors and exporters. Growth in the targeted industry clusters via sales revenues, exports, incomes and productivity are some of the expected results. Read more about CCP program activities.
